I love my iPod. I don't understand why people hate them.. most of the haters have never even used them.

ive used one, but havent owned one.

while its a great product, i just dont see how one could justify pay for one, while there are cheaper mp3 players out there.

Why buy a 512mb ipod shuffle for $100, when u can buy a 512 mb sandisk mp3 player for $50 when they go on sale? (btw, ipods never go on sale, since apple requires a standard unflexible retail price all around the US.)

why buy a nano when there are cheaper solutions for similar storage capacity?

why buy a 30gb ipod, when there are cheaper solutions for similar storage capacity?

Right now mp3 players are just too expensive as a whole. one could buy a portable cd player for 20-30 bucks, if they were on a budget.
It makes all the sense to buy a cheaper mp3 player, since mp3 players are still pretty expensive and havent come down in price. (assuming you are buying an mp3 player that holds 512 mb or more of memory)

When good apple mp3 players (with a few gigabytes of capacity) become as cheap as portable cd players, then maybe ipods will become the standard for listening to music on the go.

They look cool and all, and they are just easy to use. But, they are too expensive, and other similar products are cheaper and have more functions.

cost to much. all i need it to do is play mp3s. can get something cheaper with more storage.

i like the ipod. what i don't like is that they are slowly skiming out on stuff and assume everyone using it is a tard. they skim out the AC adapter, and there is still no custom EQ, and the stock earbuds still suck.

other than that, the player itself is good.

I do not hate it, but I like others better......

edit...I do hate Bono....and on a different subject, Damon Albarn is annoying now.

Almost all players come with crap buds. This is a good thing; anyone who has an interest in sound will be bringing their own phones, purchased with their own tastes in mind, to the table. Packaging more expensive phones would add to the price. The masses wouldn't notice and the enthusiasts still wouldn't use them; it'd be wasteful.

I do not like the iPod because of a combination of it being way over-hyped and over priced. Like when the iMac came out. Same deal. Through, I will compliment Apple on their marketing.

That's the winning answer right there.

that's the same with creative and iriver

oh, the creative is also 30gig and costs $329, and the 1gig iriver costs $249. so apple's stuff are actually cheaper.

too expensive, battery life sucks something fierce (3rd gen anyways), quality is not 100%, earphones are awful, and the supplied USB cable had to bre replaced once already, iTunes sucks and when they first came out, you had no choice but to use it. that annoyed the hell out of me!

thatand its really fvcking ugly, and their comercials suck

overhyped, overpriced and why spand several hundred bucks on a mp3 player when a Rio is so much cheaper and has more features. the only difference is storage space.
