I'm a healthy guy in my mid 20's. my contributions to my insurance company are pretty much paying for old people's health care and your kids regular check-ups and vaccines.

It comes with several new taxes (mostly those will affect only a small subset of the population). It also comes with massive cuts to medicare, and it should help your pocketbook. Why are you complaining about saving tax money?

Plus, most bankruptcies are medical related. If everyone was on proper insurance, we could eliminate a large chunk of those bankruptcies. That will again save you money since you won't have to support those costs anymore.

What the health care bill is missing is building/expanding medical schools and training more doctors (especially paying for their residency). You'd have a logical complaint about paying for that. But, then, it means better access to medical personnel and cheaper medical care due to breaking the AMA union's back. So, that would be a good tradeoff of your tax dollars for more doctors in my opinion.

If you were to get hit from behind by some drunk driver, and YOU were really hurt.. would YOU expect someone to call 911? And.. would YOU expect the police, then medical help to arrive on the scene? And... would YOU expect to be rushed to the ER of a local hospital? And YOU are in the ICU for 3 weeks recovering? And YOU leave with a $100,000 medical bill? And YOU work but you DO NOT have insurance by choice? So... YOU expect ME and everyone else reading this thread to PAY for YOU by increased healthcare insurance rates? REALLY...!!!

Not everyone does. My wife's employer pays 100% of the premiums for our entire family. And before you say that that must come at a decrease in wages, her wages are very competitive for her position in this area.

In other words, I am currently not paying for other people's health insurance, but I will be once my taxes go up as a result of the health-care bill.
