Not everyone does. My wife's employer pays 100% of the premiums for our entire family. And before you say that that must come at a decrease in wages, her wages are very competitive for her position in this area.
In other words, I am currently not paying for other people's health insurance, but I will be once my taxes go up as a result of the health-care bill.
