Why NOT Impeach Bush and Cheney ? The Republicans Will take Him Out!

Given aa scenario where GWB does something really outrageous, I could fully imagine a coalition of 17 GOP Senators
meeting with the Democratic leadership with out the knowledge or consent of the GOP. And then with some democratic house co operation, an bill of impeachment against both GWB&Cheney could be rushed through the house. And then a quick trial in the Senate where the verdict is pre ordained.

And before GWB&co. or the out of touch with reality GOP leadership could even wake up, GWB&Cheney would be out of office so fast they would not be even be able to organize a military coup.

Its exactly what GWB&Cheney deserve and it would be so sweet if it would happen.

I guess fuck you to the Constitution isn't sufficient. I guess bankrupting the country isn't either.

We get the representation we deserve, and there is is. We smell like shit.
I wish you wouldn't sugar coat your feelings. Quit holding back...

once Congress starts sending out subpoenas i think bush will crack mentally; Cheney's heart won't take it

what is not to like about justice?

They fcuked our country by lying to get US into an impossible war the morons thought would be "easy"
--they are inefficient and stupid also, but that is beside my point

Just calling them to testify will destroy them both - Bush and Cheney will attack each other - it will be a circus for the entire universe - entertainment of the highest order
- good riddance .. they can explain to their Master in the Next Life; i think He will be even more pleased to further exercise a little 'tough love' in their behalf - for Eternity, i think. They have more to fear than impeachment anyway

But just "doing it" sends a message to other would-be a$sholes tha America won't be fooled again by this fake lie using patriotism as an excuse for an idiotic war of aggression

America will earn instant respect

Wait. Lets go with he lied blah blah b;ah and it was intentional.

Is lying under oath impeachable? Yes. It doesnt matter what the subject matter is, a lie under oath is a lie.

Is lying to the public or to the media agaisnt the law or impeachable? uh...NO.

WTF is wrong with you people? Unless, of course, you can give an example of him lying UNDER OATH in ANY court of law.

We wont hold our breath.

Is lying to the public or to the media agaisnt the law or impeachable? uh...NO.

the defense Bush will use

thanks .. watch him self-destruct

this lie had severe consequences

you are excusing Bush the way the Nazis excused Hitler

NO need to prove it to you then right?

since I guess lying to the public doesnt matter.

The Bush Administration lied. And you don't matter.

He went back on his Oath...do you remember that?

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

There is his lie. But again, you don't matter.

Your being too generous. The arrogant don't 'crack' and the existence of a heart is in doubt.

Bush is President

He represents America

Lying in Public - even in front of the United Nations - is not excusable by any sane defense

let's see the insane excuses for the Bush Liar

Your being too generous. The arrogant don't 'crack' and the existence of a heart is in doubt.
You don't get it - they are both lying rats and will attack each other
--Bush *blames* .. it is his nature .. and he will blame Cheney

what specific lies are you referring to?

Forget "he lied" or not, and merely think about the ramifications of the mistake he made. Descending Iraq into chaos has empowered Iran.

Mistakes arent impeachable offenses.

Failing to govern to "the best of your ability" is an impeachable offense and I submit to you that we allow our system of "Checks and Balances" to determine if that is, in fact, the case.

this war was no "mistake" - although the redneck administration can't even handle simple things - the mofo LIED to get US into it

in front of the entire world he maneuvered a coalition of the UNwilling by lies and propaganda

and now some of our best Youth lies dead and damaged beyond repair - because of this LIAR

Blame it all on him - the Republicans might even get a little respect back

You really don't want to set the precedent of lowering the bar for impeachments.

The idea of impeaching the Pesident because he lied about an affair and tried to cover it up was ludicrous, imo. And I hated Bill Clinton.

The US looks good again, even the republicans gain a little self-respect by getting rid of a stupid, blame-shifting liar - he is blaming his own ALLIES in the Congress
- he is insane!

Take out the trash .. too simple for you?

By supporting him - now after America is ruined by him - you are also complicit in your heart with him

If i was a Republican Congressman i would be disgusted, repelled and i would lose all respect for the man i once supported - the same Liar who is now trying to blame me - and wreck MY chances for re-election

Getting rid of a lying and corrupt administration - IS painful - but overall it is Win-win

I was arguing against the Iraq War when many now who are crying about it were glad to wave the flag and remove the menace that was Saddam.

Lemme see, Harvey, Moonbeam and myself were OPENLY against it. I don't recall many being against it AND stepping up to openly oppose it.

As far as Bush goes, I'd rather have Nixon and he's dead. That should let you know I have no respect for him.

THAT SAID-
We are a nation of laws. The greatest AND the least have (or should have) the same standing in a court of law. That we as humans fail in that regard does not excuse it.

An impeachment is a legal proceeding and it requires not outrage, but evidence of illegality to pursue. Now if someone wants to investigate, hats off to them, BUT lying to the people is NOT illegal. Right? No, not at all. Does it matter? HELL YES!

BUT BUT BUT - The law is the law. There are certain things I would like to see or do, but because I believe in the basic principles of the law, a de facto lynching is NOT the way to go.

The alternative? An investigation which properly done will take beyond the time left in this term.

Impeachment? I'd rather have justice, and that can only come once Bush is out and if his successor opens the blinds and lets some light in.

Instead of complaining about what you cannot have it would be more productive to let Obama or Clinton (never happen with McCain) to allow such an investigation. That is where the truth could be found.

:lips: my (_!_), jackass!

There are plenty of good reasons to impeach Bush, Cheney and their entire cabal of traitors, murderers, torturers, liars and war criminals. Some of us figured it out years ago, and every passing day brings yet more irrefutable evidence of their crimes.

Don't ask me or anyone else to repost years of threads with links to the proof. If you're too mouse challenged to find all those links, either you're part of their corrupt criminality, or you don't have enough brain cells to understand what you'd read, anyhow.

you still don't get it

The *republicans* need a SCAPEGOAT - or else they will lose more seats

THEY need to take him out!

think outside the box

and wait and see .. REPUBLICANS will get rid of him - to the party's advantage

Bush and cheney are big Liabilities - NOW - after the SPEECH that is hopefully the TURNING POINT - for REPUBLICANS

AMERICA will either blame:

1) the Republican Congress

or

2) Bush/ Cheney who are out in January - ANYWAY

my analysis runs deep - it is a simple solution - and i am the equal of the top Republican strategists

No it should say exactly what it does.

And if GWB cant handle the job we should have the power and the recourse to kick his ass out. the outcomes, the chickens coming home to roost, of his adminstration is my ASSERTION that he can't handle the job, he has failed his oath under God to Protect the Constitution and by extension this land and it's citizens.

thanks.

The answer you seek is: He has been under oath since day one, his inauguration.

Again, for sake of argument, lets say he knowingly and deliberatly lied to the public.

You want to amend the constitution to allow impeachment for that?

What in God's name is wrong with you? Even if you want it to be that way, it isnt. So tough shit. He isnt impeachable. Get over it.

You are absolutely right. I know I cannot have an impeachment and I know it never will be. I would be absolutely thrilled if the next Administration can kick start an investigation but I don't think that will be the case either.

Our political parties are too invested in making sure they never give themselves enough rope to hang themselves or each other. And I guess I am just super pissed about it. What irks me even more are the people with their head in the sand dismissing and excusing our lordship politicians for god knows what reason but with very damaging results to our individual rights. WHy the hell is anyone excusing or dsimissing these politicans!?? how does that help YOUR bottom line? are you getting PAID or something to attempt appeasement of all of us cattle!?

EVERYONE should be up in arms as to how our politicians have handled themselves over these last TWO Administrations.

it is sickening.
