I'm not sure why people are so particular on Pizza. Just shut up, eat your pizza and stop bitching. There are starving people in Africa.

I hate Papa John's and Domino's especially, it's very nasty and I just can't do it, it's greasy, it's floppy and they use some really cheap and over salted sauce.
Pizza King is about the only pizza I ever really enjoyed followed by Pizza Hut I guess though I just always get Pizza King's and be done with it.
Though most of you guys likely never heard of it, it's a local chain throughout my state owned by Sir Pizza.

Either way, it seems most every pizza restaurant puts way too much salt in their shit these days.

They wouldn't be starving if they'd had Chicago style pizza. Those wafer-thin NY slices just don't provide the sustenance Africans need in their active lifestyles.

I am not biased when it comes to pizza, very few have been tossed in the trash over the years. The pizza I did toss were not cook completely ect.

I however have not been to New York City or have had deep dish while in Chicago, I've had only chain knockoffs. Someday I hope to have each respective cities authentic pizza.

I've had pizza in both New York City and Chicago.

New York City (try Original Joe's, NYC joke) - the pizza just tasted great, hard to say why. It wouldn't always be my pick but the taste stood out.

Chicago: it was hard to find the right one to try. 'Gino's East, that's the top!' and lots of others - except 'Gino's sucks!'

The ones I tried were thick pizzas, and I think I think I like the deep dish pizza best, but I just didn't like those all that much. The one in my photo above, I prefer.

It was about flavor and experience. There's a sort of 'is this enjoyable to eat' question apart from things like 'quality of ingredients'.

If you want to do Chicago, have the hot dogs. That seems to be the 'standout' city item more (nevermind 'Nathan's' in NYC).

(I also made a point to have cheesesteak in Philly, and I remember I tried to have a Hamburger in Hamburg, but not whether I did.

One standout: Bananas Foster at Brennan's in New Orleans, who invented it, and it shows.

Though the best things maybe in NO were the bread pudding at a cooking school, and the sauces at K-Paul's.)

So nice to read that mocking Korean girls is not racist. I guess we learned that from watching the Oscar's last month.

Regarding pizza, I don't care what pizza people eat. So no war here. But I know that well over 90% of what passes for pizza, is total crap. In my extended stay over in NYC, I learned what really, really good pizza tastes like. So long as I can find what I like, I'm fine with rest of you eating shitty pizza.

I figured the gumbo and jambalaya would be excellent in New Orleans.

I'll eat any pizza, put I personally love thin crust. Properly made deep dish is good.

Also stuffed crust is an abomination that I can't give up. 🙁

I just like good pizza. Even in Chicago there are a lot of different types of Chicago pizza. Haven't spent as much time in NY but assume the same is true there as well.

That's not Chicago style. The toppings go under the sauce.

Well, take it up with "Windy City Pizza", "Home of the Bay Area Chicago Bears Fan Club".

Maybe you're right since I got that from google images, and it's been a while since I ate it.

This one is theirs, and no toppings on top:

Their blurb:

"Windy City has the best Deep dish, Chicago style pizza in town! Take the best artisanal flour, premium Wisconsin cheese, Chicago’s finest sausage, fresh crushed tomatoes, plus a little cornmeal added to the crust and you have some of the best eating outside of Chicago! Our pizza are baked in big, blackened, well-seasoned pans, insuring the true authentic Chicago pizza taste.

From the classic Chicago Deep Dish Pie, to the innovative stuffed pizza, a deep-dish pie with an additional top crust loaded with extra sauce and cheese -to the Chicago-Politan, our hardy thin pizza, which is Neapolitan inspired for Chicago appetites. Add a Redhead to any deep dish pie for true Chicago Style."

Edit: No, I called them, and they said most of the pizzas have toppings inside and on top. Do I need to call Chicago pizzerias tomorrow?

I'm a really picky eater, and don't eat either of those things.

So, I can only mention the best of a few things.

For example, the famous beignets at Café Du Monde, nothing wrong with them, but nothing exciting IMO.

Red Beans and Rice on the other hand - like New York Pizza, it's just great in NO.

When pizza is involved everybody wins...

Pizza in the morning. Pizza in the evening. Pizza at suppertime. When pizza’s on the table you can eat it, all while doing a line of blow and mindlessly fucking a hooker in a three thousand dollar Armani suit.

I haven't had a restaurant pizza in...forever... a long long time since my days of youth and my parents would order Dominos/Pizza Hut when they didn't feel like cooking. Now, the best Pizza I find is actually in my grocery store in the frozen section. Pretty damn good fresh out of the oven, and overall way healthier than the grease piles.

That said, I'm not from Chicago, but just like Hot Dogs, they have got their shit together with knowing what tastes good.

New York pizza is a slopping piece of shit that tastes like ass.

Also, if your pizza palette consists of nothing but bread, tomato sauce, and cheese (which is most of NY pizza) then jesus fuck you CLEARLY lack in taste buds. There is a reason why Chicago is known for pizza, and it's because it has more than just those 3 BASE ingredients.
