Why is Wal-Mart so successful?

Is it everyday low prices?
Is it everything in one store aka as convenience?
Is it because they know how to buy things in wholesale price and sell to you at much less then other competitor?
Don't hate them, what would you do without them? Pay a lot more for stuff you can get for 1/3 to 1/2 price at walmart?
I almost forgot one last thing, is it because they open 24hrs a day and is everywhere even in your backyard?

Talking about walmart, I'm going to waste some more money there today because I just love shopping at wal*mart.
I've tried to shop elsewhere but they are either expensive or too far away from where I live.

I hope all you proud Walcrap shoppers that buy all that made in China garbage realize that you are turning China into a super-power Back in the day, Walmart's slogan was how a lot of their stuff was made in America and now its believed that 90% is from China. Anyone that supports Walmart and their work slave workshops is a communist pig.

There's nothing to be proud of my man, smart shopper shop at wally, dumb shopper well they just shop anywhere regardless of price.
The problems with America is that we produce so little of anything theseday, things cost more here so it doesn't make logical sense to produce stuff in America and sell it at 10 times the cost it would be from offshores
It's not just wally that's selling made in china products, everywhere else that is selling stuff cheap is also made in china. cheap stuff sells well, expensive does not because the rich don't buy as much as the poor.
There are far more poor people then you can fit on this entire earth then their are rich people.

Congratulations for admitting you support communists. I'd rather spend more money and buy QUALITY stuff instead of being cheap crap from China. I guess you missed the part where Walmart prided itself as having a lot of MADE IN AMERICA things back in the 80's. It was their slogan and they were sucessful. Greed knows no bound. I hope you enjoy your cheap Chinese crap.

The only thing I shop WalMart for is groceries, where the prices are better than any other supermarket out there, sometimes by a mile. And if my Wild Cherry Pepsi and Kraft mac-n-cheese are made in China now, then I guess I'll keep buying Chinese.

I've shopped at walmart but it depends on the item at hand.When I need a cheap pc desk I went to Walmart because I don't care about a pc desk that much.When I need a TV I'll go for quality and buy something in a better store it all depends on the item and what I value it as.I will agree that walmart has some good price on groceries I've got plenty of good deals on boneless skinless chicken breast.

id rather spend $100 for something at a small store, than $2 at walmart. i went there once, and left because they didnt have what i wanted.

they have so much control over the economy. they can put manufacturers out of business by making them sell thing for too low prices. they can destroy bussinesses in cities. its rediculous.

It's not all about price, the whole shopping experience plays into it. While I go there to get the good grocery prices, I dislike the entire ambience in the place. It's like a retail gulag, or at best the dentist's waiting room. Basically it's an unplesant experience, like I'm doing penance while I'm in the store in return for the low prices I get once I finally get through the checkout line. Even in stores in the same basic market niche like Target this feeling doesn't occur to me.

when sam walton was alive made in usa was a regular theme of Walmart. The only thing made in the usa now is their buildings. sam is left to perpetually roll in his grave

It also depends on the item I've noticed alot of stuff you don't think is made in China is.My beloved jordan shoes are made in China but it does say a portion of the proceeds goes to support educational initiatives...well hopefully not in China too.

Expensive shoes too but I really like em and the quality.

I haven't bought anything at a Walmart in, like, two years (as far as I can remember). I went inside one a couple weeks before this past Christmas, but left after a couple minutes without buying anything because it was so ghetto.

I did frequent the local Walmart while in college, but only because it was the only store open 24/7 and I frequently went shopping in the middle of the night.
