Surprised I haven't read a feminist article arguing that if you're rich and female and mentally-ill you lose your rights to a conservatorship, but if you're rich and male and mentally-ill, you retain complete autonomy to carry on causing trouble and making an oaf of yourself.

I mean, maybe it's just a matter of what kind of parents you happen to have? Maybe there's nobody in a position to make such a claim over Kanye?

So is it pronounced "yay" or "yee"? In my head it was "yee" given the spelling but it's just been on the news and the talking heads are saying "yay".
 
I think the Ye is what historically would have been called the somewhat derogatory term of idiot savant - someone with an "abnormally" low IQ but with some ability that dwarfs that of most humans.

I'm only half paying attention to this thread, but "ye" will most typically be pronounced "yay"(romantic languages, maybe others). The problem is the second "e". *That* will always give the "ē" sound. I blame poor literacy.

I heard a lady from the ADL (Anti-Defamation league) on CBS NY news yesterday speaking and she pointed out that GARBAGE human-being has more "followers" (many of whom hang on his every word) then there are Jews in existence!

The potential for his irresponsible and thoughtless words to lead to anti-semitic violence is FAR higher then just your average POS racist. (as evidenced by the white supremacists with that banner on the highway bridge in LA quoting him)

Frankly he deserves a lot worse than getting "cancelled". 😡
