really? I thought snake plants only needed watering every few weeks? It's not wilting, it's just limp. It's like it can't stay stiff for some reason

That's what wilting is.

Remove from pot, get slightly larger pot - if root bound, break up roots with fork. Don't be afraid of hurting it. Use some fresh potting soil (not fertilizer, or you'll burn it!). Mist off the leaves when you're done so they're nice and clean, helps with respiration. Put it in front of filtered sunlight (not direct).

:) As far as ongoing maintenance - perhaps you should fill a pitcher of water, and set aside for water. Let the chlorine evaporate and bring the water to room temp. Cold water + chlorine = shock to plants.

After you stimulate root growth by breaking them up during repotting, you can also stimulate new leaf growth by clipping off the oldest out leaf blades. Regroup the leafs together by using an oversized rubberband (not tight, just a little tension).
