Why is it so hard to find a decent sandwich shop these days?

make your own 😉

what i hate about deli sandwiches is TOO MUCH MEAT. it's disgusting the way they pile it on.

thats how i like a sammich. the chain places think 2 pieces of ham and turkey is a decent sub, when the bread is like 4" thick. crap, i tell ya.

cheba hut. that place rocks.

We just had a Jimmy Johns move in near where I work. Its quite good, but then again I am far from a picky eater. I've eaten burned pizza that my Mom tossed in the trash.

Those with good delis (and/or good mom & pop sub shops) realize how incredibly crappy Subway subs are - and how bland the food at subway is. The local butcher sent a steak sandwich up to the school for me yesterday - given a choice between a night with Jessica Alba and another sandwich like that; the sandwich would win; it was that good.

I'm talking an actual deli sandwich, not these craptastic sub shops that are all over the place. It's like these things only exist in NYC or something, and the rest of the world doesn't have a fucking clue.

My guess is that you are not in NYC. Neither am I ... :/

I want the meat on mine to be alternator size.

There's a sandwich shop out by my work place where you need a fork to eat it with.

Subway kicks butt if you know how to make a good sammich when they have a crapton of ingredients to choose from. I usually prefer to go to subway over going to the supermarket to buy all of the ingredients myself as it'd cost me a crapton just to get all of the ingredients, and then I'd have to be eating sandwiches every day for several weeks.

There are a few delis that can make a good one without you needing to tell them how to build it. But I live in cali, and I agree, most sandwich places suck ass.
