Why is it "racist" to say that Obama has been a lousy president?

I've heard/read some people say this, but I'm not American and I reckon he HAS been a shitty president:

- He promised change, what change? Oh, a change in party and President from 2008 onwards, that's all..

- US foreign policy hasn't altered.

- US political culture is exactly the same as it was pre-2008, under Bush Jr., Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, well all the rest for about 100 years prior..lol..

So, since the FACTS bare out he's been shitty, then why not call that out?

Anyone who doesn't agree that he's the greatest thing ever is surely a racist. No doubt about it, there could not possibly be any other reason.

given that his policies are perfect and everything he's done as President has been flawless, the only remaining cause for someone not to like him is latent racism.

Cause he's black and it racist to say that a black man is in any way inferior to anyone else on the planet.
Giving him a Nobel prize just for being black should have been the tip off.

I don't think much of his politics, but I'd enjoy having a beer and a smoke with him.

"shitty" compared to what? If I accept what you're saying as fact that the US government style hasn't changed in 100 years, then you're saying they've all been shit, so he's running at about average?

It isn't but the following are

birther stuff
tar baby
uppity
boy

All things said by prominent Republicans about Barack and Michelle.

Policy disputes are not racist.

I've always found that when someone says "FACTS", they generally mean "IN MY OPINION". Like say, in this case.

It's not racist to criticize Obama, it's just that some portion of the overall criticism of Obama is likely due to racism. You might not realize this, but we do have quite a few racists in America. It took until the MID NINETIES for 51% of Americans to think interracial marriage was ok. Even today it only has about 80% support.

Still, the criticism is more due to ultra-partisanship than anything else.

I would really like to know assuming ones opinion is Obama has been a shitty president how would you rate Bush? On a scale of 1-10 if Obama is a 2 where is Bush??

Please list out things that are worse then 6 years ago.

The majority of the critics/opposition doesn't have much substance to their 'claims' - or, they use points that are not an issue with anyone else.

There are certainly things Obama has done (or hasn't) that make him a bad president, but, he certainly is not the worst.

You also had a movement (and some still believe) that he is some sort of Muslim cell, that is here to do something bad to the USA. Muslim prayer curtains being forced into the White House. A forged birth certificate. These are all xenophobic - no validity to them.

There are also some things being done by his critics, that have no real basis and aren't panning out too well; such as Boehner's lawsuit for example - lawyers have twice now refused to handle it. And, the idiot is considering adding more things to sue the President over now,... http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/nov/14/john-boehner-mulls-adding-immigration-to-lawsuit-a/. Now, Boehner may very well not be a racist, but, why is he leading this lawsuit, when there doesn't seem to be much support for it? What is his drive for this? Yes, I am sure he has plenty of black friends, and he surely is NOT a racist, but his motivation is quite questionable.

Double standards are also another trigger;
- Obama gets no credit from things that happen on the battlefield; ergo, he had nothing to do with the assassination of Osama Bin Laden,... BUT, he is personally held responsible for when a weapons cache gets into the hands of ISIS,.... well,.. this logic does not jive; but, somehow applies to Obama.

His critics need to get their heads together and use logic, instead of knee jerk reaction verbal diarrhea - because:
1) it makes them look pretty stupid
2) gives the impression they are racist (which, does not exist and is totally not true, since Obama's critics have plenty of black friends,.. and those black friends hate Obama too,... 🙄)

Compared to presidents who actually affected some lasting/positive change...only one I can of is LBJ of recent decades, at least since WWII.

Obama is IMHO 4/10. Bush Jr. was 0.5/10...

As for the differences, apart from non-existent in foreign policy, I'd say your economy hasn't changed, and you're still making enemies, which why ISIS emerged.

This might be because you aren't from America, but American political culture is actually vastly different today than it was 100 years ago or even 50. The two parties have polarized since 1970 to an extent that's only been seen once before in US history, which was the period before the Civil War. In the past there was significant overlap between the more conservative Democrats and the more liberal Republicans, but that is no longer the case.

Not to mention the fact that filibusters were extraordinarily rare during LBJ's time, meaning you only needed 51 votes in the Senate for legislation and that most of his enduring accomplishments were passed in the two year period where he had large majorities, pretty much like Obama.

The idea that if the US just had one of those good old presidents that GOT SHIT DONE like LBJ did is a fiction based on the idea that the political environment we operate in today is the same as it was then. It isn't.

This might be because you aren't from America,...

Not an excuse - there is plenty of information out there to decide what is actually going on; OP has chosen to not do his research and spew out an accusation that critics of Obama are being treated unfairly, by being labeled as racists.

why imply racism when it's obviously just rank partisanship?

were Republicans being racist towards white people when they sued Clinton for no real reason?

Are you taking about his impeachment? If yes, Bill Clinton was accused of something pretty solid and significant; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment_of_Bill_Clinton

Obama is being sued because he did not deliver on time what was being blocked by republicans,.. oh, and possible immigrant amnesty,.. we're not totally sure yet, we need to find some lawyers first,..

Clinton's was crystal clear.

Obama's,.. not so much. If you want to chalk it up to political buffoonery, mixed with buffoons gone full Repub - go right ahead.

Personally, I see it as an attempt to just stain someone they don't like, since they have no validity or substance to what they are actually trying to stain him with - that sounds like a hateful and spiteful move. If that isn't racism - OK. But, you have to admit, there isn't much of anything there, other than blinding hate and spite.
