Why is it considered wrong to drink alone?

I like to put a good buzz on and watch sci-fi a couple of times a week. It's a stress reliever, and IMO not a big deal.

The American relationship with alcohol is disfunctional.

I do make a point to have no alcohol 48 hours in a row in any given week, because of a history of cancer in my family, but that's just my OCD cropping up.

The point of drinking isn't to get hammered everytime you drink.
Having an alcoholic drink alone is like having a caffeinated drink.
