Yeh, paying the lowest personal tax rates of any first world citizens is a bitch, huh, particularly for the fat cats who shape the Libertopian opinion you choke down so willingly.
I'd hate to see tax rates if you and your angry, deluded ilk had their way. I wouldn't be surprised if I pay more in taxes than what you make in a year.
I'm proud to be an American, and to pay my taxes unflinchingly to support the govt of the greatest nation on earth.
Obviously, that same sort of pride isn't shared by right wing whiners.
And here we see Jhhnn's mindset once again. He's willing "to pay my taxes unflinchingly" to support his heroes who run his deity, the government. No questioning, no concerns -- he'll do what the government says! The government knows best! And with such a recent, stellar success as the ACA implementation as a shining example, who can blame him for putting his life in their hands? But I'm sure in his twisted worldview, the botched ACA implementation was the fault of Republicans and can probably be traced to Bush and Cheney, hiding in the shadows trying to sabotage all of Obama's "hard work."
I guarantee my relatives who fought in the Revolution, the Civil War, and even World War II would be appalled at what has transpired in this nation under your beloved government if they were here today. You and your ilk espouse the big government religion at the expense of personal responsibility and liberty. You and your ilk blame corporate America for every ill that befalls this country or your own personal circumstances. Everyone is a victim of [insert racism, sexism, corporatism, or any other ism] these days, to be saved by the government white knight riding in on its white steed. Your big government masters are proud of you to be sure.
11 Meelyon dollars! Sounds like a lot of money to somebody who doesn't know better, but the damage to Philippine agriculture alone is estimated at 20X that amount-

You might want to check your premises, even pay attention to the whiney OP & the political bent of the whiners who posted before I did.
What a cynical, antagonistic little person you are. How delightful you must be at parties! Unfortunately for you, it sounds like you really have no clue how much $11 million CAN help with the IMMEDIATE needs of people in a MAJOR disaster. As Exterous points out, that donation ALONE is more than a long list of other nations. I'm sure in your deluded, self-centered world of liberal angst, you think the US government should be donating the ENTIRE cost of EVERY BIT of reconstruction and until it does, you deride any charitable contributions made. That's just typical of the kind of wrist-wringing, lip-biting buffoons in your party who have no concept of the real world. Time to get out of mom's basement and into the real world. You want more money to be sent to the Phillipines? Time to pull out the checkbook, sparky.
So AGAIN Jhhnn, did YOU donate to the fund? Or are you relying on your "unflinchingly paid" tax dollars to do your charity?
Feel the need to duh-vert? Have a problem examining your own most cherished beliefs? Afraid of what you might find?
No diversion here. I'm honestly sick and tired of your angry diatribes full of stupidity and idiocy, as is the entire forum. You're just an angry little man who has long been the joke of the forum, even challenging Dave's reign as the forum buffoon. People point and laugh at you as your typical posts all amount to:
"Righties bad! Big government good!"
It must really grind your gears to see your heroes on the run. I can only surmise that's why you're so angry right now.
Giving is an act of conscience, something I do & support entirely.
We know you support giving, especially when it is giving other people's money away -- either to government programs or anything else. But I digress -- multiple people call you out on the stupid remark you made, and instead of being a man and saying "You're right, I was incorrect," you circle the wagon and try defending the indefensible.
Crowing about it on an internet forum, as Indy did, in an attempt to discredit another person certainly isn't. It's self serving bullshit of denial, and needs to be recognized as such. He might as well just claim to have a bigger dick, obviously being one.
Yeah, you caught me. I have to admit the ONLY reason I donated was because I wanted to come back to AT's forums and brag about it. You're a goddamned genius, Gump!
I donate because I live very well and want to help people in distress. I donate for every major disaster, whether domestic or international in scope. Hell, if a tornado hit your hometown, I'd even help you Jhhnn, even though I think your views are incredibly despicable, short-sighted, and wrong.
At any rate, the truth is that it was yet another one of your cynical posts dismissing the fact that Republicans generally donate more (and in the process, calling them names) that caused me to post that. You'll do anything to portray the left as benevolent and the right as malevolent, and given a real-world example to the contrary, you put your tail between your legs, dismiss it and continue your normal routine. Your schtick is wearing thin with everyone. You're the angriest person on this forum by a mile and you do provide some good (unintentional) laughs, so I guess I can grant you that much.
