uh who the hell says butt-hurt... in any type of convo or post regularly? your obviously trying to make it a pun. Shaft is more common so I'll give it to you but in the same post as butt-hurt your obviously trying to hide your view but it isn't working out.

They are acting as you would expect a gay pride group to react. They are reacting against him because he as a "celebrity" must keep tighter control of their mouths and as a celebrity may influence more people.

Freedom of speech protects you from being prosecuted for what you say. It doesn't protect you from people thinking you're an idiot.

Legitimate question. I think the answer is obvious, though. The gay community has a tendency to be on the drama-queen side. So every little thing they perceive to be a slight towards their aberrant behavior sets off a firestorm of a response towards anyone who finds their behavior to be perverse.
Kind of like Al Sharpton and his auto-response every time an African American criminal is cuffed around by some cops. It's always a racial thing, of course. :roll:

If a sports star was to go on public radio and say the same things about blacks do you think he would get much of a pat on the back from anyone for "speaking his mind"? He'd be roundly condemned as a narrow minded bigot just as Hardaway was.

Though my underlying suspicion is that you actually agree with him so I'm really wasting my time here.

It's not a matter of education but manners. The guy lost his cool and blurted it out for everyone to hear. There's no undo function on the microphone. The damage is done. Control prevents this.
