Dr. Pepper is my favorite soda...followed closely by Sunkist Orange.

I can't stand Coke/Pepsi. Absolutely disgusting

Sunkist orange is the best orange soda.

that's where you're wrong.

Mountain Due Orange is the best orange soda EVAR!

Mountain Dew Livewire? Yes, that is good stuff.

Mountain Dew should stick to what they do best...making craptastic yellow-lookin' sheeyte.

Move to Texas. Dr. Pepper is as common as coke...I doubt there are any restaurants that don't have it on tap (few may have pibb, but its rare). In grocery stores it gets just as much display space as coke and pepsi.

This reminded me of this list I read a while ago here... well not exactly this one, but this is all I could find from it with a quick search.

It seems that about half of death row inmates in Texas love the stuff.

Oh, I like it too... but I'm not on death row... yet.

edit: ok, maybe not half, but a lot of them it seemed

I can't help it that you're extremely picky when it comes to drinking a freakin soda. 😉

i hear there is one plant in texas that still makes the "original recepie" of Dr Pepper, Pepsi wanted them all to move over to the new cheaper formula, but this one plant refused to change. I am kind of curious to try it. anyone had the original and the new formula Dr pepper and can comment on the taste?

dr. pepper doesn't have an aftertaste 😕. coke definatly does (I hate that gritty feeling left on my teeth after drinking coke), and pepsi just tastes like sugar with a little syrup mixed in.

Think you can buy the original formula Pepper in Waco somewhere. It uses real sugar cane instead of the usual stuff they sweeten drinks with. I tried it once, not real different....maybe a little sweeter with less of an aftertaste to it.

If you notice at bars they use the soda gun, theres only a limited amount of buttons on that soda so they usually only carry the ones they make drinks with.
I dunno about you, but rum + Dr Pepper > rum + Coke!

Dr Pepper is owned by Cadbury Schweppes. I think that they just have either Coke or Pepsi bottle it for them in areas. I believe in Philadelphia it's bottled by Coca-Cola, but say in Reading, Pennsylvania it's bottled by PepsiCo. I guess they get whoever is cheaper do it for them.

...and we also have Mr. Pibb...

I would say that Dr. Pepper is pretty big. I still see itb eing overshadowed by those couple mentioned. But then again, so is Mt. Dew.

It is in Dublin, TX. They use Imperial Pure Cane Sugar in their recipe. Gives it a little different taste. Expensive, too.

Good luck trying to buy a Pepsi in Atlanta. COke owns that town.

Dr. Pepper tastes like it should be red, not brown.
