Why is Dr Pepper still not considered to be a bigtime soda?

That's all they have stocked here in Indiana. In the dining halls, at the fast food joints in the student center, it's Mr. Pibb, not Dr. Pepper. I never see Mr. Pibb back home in NY.

I always thought that Mr. Pibb and Dr. Pepper were made by the same entity. I never was sure if it was Pepsi or Coke, then I realized it was neither.

The reason why a lot of restaurant and bars do not carry dr pepper is because they carry fountain drinks that are dual purpose because they are often mixed with liquor like coke, sprite, ginger ale, tonic.

I agree with the coke/pepsi thing.

Maybe I've been desensitized to the flavor after many years, but that soda actually sickens me now. It's just not good!

If you notice at bars they use the soda gun, theres only a limited amount of buttons on that soda so they usually only carry the ones they make drinks with.

Move to Texas. Dr. Pepper is as common as coke...I doubt there are any restaurants that don't have it on tap (few may have pibb, but its rare). In grocery stores it gets just as much display space as coke and pepsi.

i prefer orange slice as the best orange soda. i've only had livewire once and don't recall it.
