My wife is addicted to Kohl's. I finally made her get a charge card there to take advantage of the sales and coupons, but then I think it just made her spend more, which of course is what they intended. I go for the deals; she follows the marketing plan.
It's not top tier quality, but the prices are good. When I start buying clothes for work instead of uniforms next year, I'll buy better quality stuff. For everyday wear, who cares? I'm married, it's decent quality and looks good, and it doesn't kill the bank account.
The BEST place to find high quality, name brand clothing at amazing prices is Off 5th, the Saks outlet store. You have to live near one though so you can check every week because the stock is so variable. There's one in Nashville, and I used to go at least once a week to browse. Found an Italian wool suit, a pair of Bruno Magli shoes, two Italian sportcoats (one wool, one linen), Armani shirts and pants, some Hugo Boss -- all at about 80% or more from original cost. All of these things are still wearable after nearly 10 years though I had to dump the suit and sportcoats because my shoulders outgrew them. If that's not bang for the buck, I don't know what is!
