They're suggesting to use an unsecure connection for every website because of the fear of voice recording? How about they suggest that you go into the options and simply disable access to your webcam and microphone for all websites?
I can't be bothered with setting up every whitelist for NoScript for Firefox, but how is that different than disabling JavaScript from within Chrome's settings and whitelisting specific addresses?
This thread is full of people blaming one piece of software for issues that are largely unrelated to that software specifically. We've already identified that the WYSIWYG issue has to do with a Javascript error on vBulletin's end, and pretty much everything else is a matter of preference. Most of the default preferences can be disabled from within Chrome's own options and flags. The only significant advantage that Firefox's Adblock has over Chrome is that it prevents the content download in the first place instead of simply hiding/removing it.
