Why I never use Google Chrome dspite it being teh fastest

I don use it cause long ago, when Google finally crossed the line re privacy invasion, I got rid of all things Google, including Google per se. (Now use IXquick for my default search engine.)

Was little adjustment at first, but boy, I am sooooo glad I did it!
 
Guys, please, you have no notion of what you're talking about. A single exception thrown in the middle of the javascript will cancel the whole thing. So imagine the script is done thinking

var foobar == number + 10;

but in Chrome, somehow, "number" is an integer, var foobar will be NaN, and throw the whole thing out the window.

I used both links. Non issue is in the eye of the beholder. And anyone can spin anything until it's detailed reality is obfuscated to many.

For me, this is about all of a piece modus vivendi re Google everything. Anyone thinks Chrome is some exception, I think, is being naive.

Can you site some sources for your claims? And is it really in the "eye of the beholder" when you can prove it through capturing the packets chrome sends/receives?

Absolutely true, my claims are via cummulative, subjective experience/observation over time. Including the increasing number of tracking cookies I was getting during my before shut down scans with Superanti. And I stand by what I arrived at a while back before I dumped everything Google.

And again, factoring in the core reality of all things Google and their common commercial mandate.

I now almost never even run Superanti (I just update its definitions database).....as I learned over time, I now get NO tracking cookies at all using Pale Moon as my default browser, and IXquick as my search engine.

I seriously doubt you are, or any private PC user is... privy to all Chrome's activities via any conventional means.

Chrome is alright, Chromium (open source) is better but can get unstable if you keep up with daily respitority. I end up going back to Chrome after using Waterfox, IE9/10, Opera, Firefox, Palemoon, etc. Chrome(ium) just suits my web surfing preferences, and that you don't need to install Flash player because it has it built in. Youtube videos crashes or stops responding with all other browsers occasionally, not with Chrome/Chromium and extensions are a bit nicer than Firefox's and Opera's.

And why do you have issues with WYSiWG? I don't.

He's complaining about the editor on the AT forums in Chrome. If you use an extension to make Chrome spit out a firefox user agent string, you actually get a rich editor on the AT forums; if you let Chrome report it's Chrome, you get a basic text editor.

It's a bug on AT with their theme or with vBulletin.

it's not just on this forum. it's on ANY forum. unless something has changed.

But wait, I'll try again on my own forums which I know have WYSIWYG

OMG! you're right! I just tried it on my forums as well. same thing, no WYSIWYG

It's not a bug, it's just that Chrome doesn't work with WYSIYG on vBulletin 3 forums.

I tried copy/pasting something from a vBulletin 4 forum, and it copied everything the images, links, formatting 🙁

meh = pwned

but still, I don't understand why vBulletin 3 WYSIWG works with Pale Moon/Firefox but doesn't with Chrome 🙁 only higher versions work

They likely have a switch in there that shows it only for some browsers, or a bug that crashes Chrome's JS engine or something. Contact vBulletin, I bet there's a simple fix.
 
I download a lot of stuff and Chrome is horrible for downloads. With Pale Moon (Firefox) I can just move the Download Window to the second monitor and keep an eye on it while I work.
 
If I'm honest, the last time I used Chrome I go physically hurt. I opened a new tab and my appendix acted up. Had to be rushed to the hospital too.

Google Chrome, never again.

about 2. i HATE when copy paste brings over formatting, holy crap do i hate that, i want it to be text and the text only. it pisses me off in IE at work.

luckily opera works how i want it to

the rest of you list i dont care about, i newver use chrome anyway, its always been Opera for me and i suplment with Pale Moon or IE when needed

and Opera sucks even more. no ad block plus, no decent add-ons, fugly interface, no better than Chrome

and what's worse, 60% of the world uses it, probably it is enforced in every app you install these days

even a security app such as SuperAntiSpyware has it heavily integrated for god's sake

WTF opera has had built in add blocking for like a decade and has the same AB+ addon that FF uses (is using version 12) its the only addon i use on any browser.

but does it have Xmarks, LastPass, Disconnect, and IE Tab?

I cannot do without those personally
 
One thing I've noticed about Chrome is that it seems to have lots of errors and features not working. I guess this is because they are so intent on making it fast that they don't always make working well a priority?

Everytime a webpage does not work in Chrome, I turn to Firefox and it works just great.

Blame the web developer when a website doesn't work. When you only have to deal with modern browsers, making a functional website is not that hard. If you're having to support IE6-8, then that's a different matter.

What features don't work for you?
