why is it, that when i'm on a low carb diet, i have a sudden craving for makizushi? 🙁

obligatory "California rolls are not sushi"

I first tried sushi at a fairly nice sushi place (Creative Sushi in Venice/Santa Monica, CA) with friends and loved it, then tried to pick up some on my own at a not so nice place(I forget the name, but it was in Redondo beach) and turned myself completely off the concept 🙁

It sucks when you don't know what to order or where to go to get the good stuff 🙁

makizushi is sushi...

it's just not sashimi. i also crave sashimi... a nice filet of tuna or salmon would be wonderful...

edit: fine, i'll just say makizushi in general.

then noone will understand what i mean, etc...

I can name you a dozen awesome places on the westside. Whether or not you want to spend that much money is a completely different story.

Sushi masu on westwood for best bang/buck sushi.

sushi is a very generic term, it covers a lot of types.

makizushi is sushi. literally rolled sushi...

do you need a flow chart explaining this?

I think you'd be disappointed. It's great on a budget, but if you want really, really fantastic sushi you should look elsewhere.

...on this account.

arcadio/oldsmoboat/casiotech? Is that you?

Btw, sushi sucks. Raw fish is nasty. If I go, I throw down imitation crab or salmon skin rolls.
Miso soup rocks.

Hell, ANYTHING with vinegared rice is sushi, since 'sushi' refers to the rice, no matter what you put with it.
