Wear a costume with lead woven into it? Weight would be irrelevant, and so would durability, since it would be close enough to his skin to be protected by his "aura".

Just toss on a mask when kryptonite is around and he is good to go :)

For a serious discussion though, where would he hide it? He's not superman all the time, only when it's needed.

thats why i said weave the lead into the costume. So it wouldnt be hard to hide. It could be thin as long as it provided radiation proofing :)

maybe the amount of lead required to shield him from k-ray is too much for practical use? it would be too heavy? the mass would be too large that it'd be torn away when he accelerates really fast? etc

yeah why doesn't the fake solar-powered character who uses glasses as a disguise wear lead-threaded tights?
