Why does your bellybutton smell?

Just curious, i clean my all the time, but when i stick my finger in and smell it. It has a distinct smell... Anyone know?

it smells because the belly button is the dirtiest part of the body. belly buttons, especially innies, are great places for trapping sweat, which combines with bacteria to create the lovely scent known as belly button order
