[steps out on limb] I agree with the guy, Windows is quite the pathetic product out of the box. I don't have many problems using it though, but when you think of it we all jump through a lot hoops when installing Windows that we wouldn't for practically any other thing we buy. Driver Updates, Service Packs, Security Updates, Set this/Set that, Install AV, Install Ad Blocker, Install Spyware detector, yadda yadda ya.
Would anyone here buy a car that required you to take it into Service before even leaving the Lot in order to avoid catastrophic breakdown? I wouldn't, that'd be stupid. That said, I use Windows and I do everything required to keep it from melting down, but if something came out that did everything that Windows does without the need to coddle it, I'd dump Windows faster than you could say "PEBCAK".
