the only prob i have with them, isn't even their problem. i keep waiting for 1984 to come out on DVD.

Thats why you use more than one method.

Yeah I know, I just don't have a VCR since the garage sale.

You should read the 1000s of people complaining on hackingnetflix website right now.

It's really sucking. I've been a customer for about a year, averaging about 6-7 movies a month on the 2 out plan.

Now, the first twenty five on my queue are "Long Wait".

I really wanna see Eastern Promises and a couple of others. Based on recent experiences, I should get it shipped to me sometime in June.

What do you rent ? DVDs, Blue Ray or HD DVDs?

I've used Netflix on and off for over a year. I rent DVD's and Blu-ray movies. Generally most movies are available "Now" or "Short Wait", with a few big titles being "Long Wait". Since a few weeks ago, almost every remotely decent title is "Short Wait" or "Long Wait". Also, many times they don't ship out my new movies the same day they receive them back, which never happened before. And lastly, they keep getting shipped from different facilities that take longer, which was rarely the case before. What the heck happened?

I just started using Netflix again with 2 movies per month (no throttling there) and have noticed that almost every HD DVD that says it is "available now" has been changed to "short wait" once it is next in the que.

DVD/HD-DVD

Even the regular DVDs are long waits, though most of my top 25 are HD-DVDs.

Netflix throttles when you get to around $2.50 per rental. Thats 3.5 dvds per month with the 1 at a time plan, 5.5 dvds for 2 at a time, 7 dvds for 3 at a time. If you are being throttled and are willing to pay more for better service, change to the next higher price plan.

I've had netflix for about a year now and I cycle through about 12-15 movies on the 3-at a time plan, and there's been no obvious throttling so far.

I also speed up the turnaround time for movies that come from across the country by saving some of my local netflix envelopes by putting two movies at a time in an envelope occasionally. I keep about 5 on hand. Works well.

Wow just wow.

I've noticed my queue has been throttled as well. I have DVD/HDDVD and BluRay players so the format is up to them but the top 15-20 movies are still long wait. I actually watch the movies too... I am pretty close to canceling and going back to my local Blockbuster.

Why not try some of the alternatives ?

I canceled my account about two years ago when they started throttling me.
I went with BlockBuster who is now throttling me.

Blockbuster sucks as well. There are plenty of alternatives though that do not throttle.

There a lot more alternatives than just that.

Thats a lot on that plan and you can send them back quicker by doing that but if they keep sending you dvds from a further location you can't do anything about that.

Ok I fixed netflix myself and now its faster again but the secret won't last for long. At least I got them to be fast again. Going to do this from now on.
