Yzzim, you have the wrong bios, that one might cause other problems!!! i fried my sound card like that.. please update your bios to the 6N !!!! this should help. remember you must set you bios to optimal settings. let me know if you have questions on the settings and how to set them and what they are for.!!!!

this 6N bios should take care of your hdd speed problem!!
