We stopped eating yogurt after we started making our own kefir. Best stuff we've ever had, particularly because we can control how much whey we like removed (filtered out.) The whey is where the acidy tang comes from.

really? I like the Oikos better than chobani. Chobani just has a strange pasty taste to it that I can't get over whereas Oikos feels smoother and less like I'm eating liquid goat cheese.

Fage is pretty good (probably because its 2% instead of 0) but I like to use the plain flavor to make sauces instead of eating it straight.

Chobani isn't smooth, if that's what you mean. It's semi-solid yogurt on top, fruit on the bottom. So if you mix it ends up lumpy. It has a strong yogurty-sour flavor as well. It tastes like yogurt tasted 20 or 30 years ago before Yoplait turned it into custard. It's also chock full of fiber, comparatively speaking. Easily my favorite of the main brands that are available around here.
