all their music sounds the same? and yet still get massive radio coverage and still somehow generate a ton of sales?

Zune keeps recommending them to me, and showing them at the top of the sales charts. I don't get it, I just don't.
It's terrible. Hear one album, you've heard them all. New lyrics to the same sound is all you get with their new material.

We're not talking Nickleback here. Creed has some great songs.

Nickleback and Creed - Battle of the Bands!

Poultry plants could use their music to de-feather chickens.

I've always viewed Creed and Nickelback as in the same genre in the same way that NSync and the Backstreet Boys are practically the same.

I like Creed

I'd say they have some similar songs, but I wouldn't say they sound the same. Nickelback is pretty bad with that though. I remember a clip someone posted a while back where you could actually sync Nickelback songs.

My wife works with our local arena director so we go to most concerts. In my 30 plus years of going to concerts. Creed was the worst live performance I have ever attended. Left before it was over. Lead singer was wasted and was singing so bad they turned up the guitars and drums so you couldn't hear him.

I like Mark Tremonti's playing. I never payed any attention to his playing with Creed. The snippets I heard on the radio were typical, bland, radio-rock licks and progressions. However, his playing with Alter Bridge is really great. Awesome guitar sound on their first album and the guitar is recorded really well. Some great, big, crushing riffs. He has a great PRS signature guitar, too.
