Why does Apple make it so hard to give them my money?

First they fixed my 2010 MacBook Pro screen for free, and now they fix my broken iPhone4 glass for only $30.

Why won't they just stop fixing things for so cheap and let me buy newer, slightly better products from them?

🙁

just because they did that for you doesn't mean they do that for everyone. For ever story I hear like this I hear many more that didn't end so well.

Let me ask you this question:

Apple makes asstons of money and willing to fix those things for free. How much of a margin do you think they are making on that product that they are willing to perform the repairs for cheap/free?

Apple is still a corporation with sights on the bottom line. There is a reason they are willing to do that, and it's not because they are nice. It's because you've already paid a high enough price to make it worth their while.

We only know you got that all fixed for "cheap" because you were gullible enough to buy that extended apple care warranty plan for everything that adds another 30% on top of the cost of an item from them.

Eh? No. I don't have Applecare and they fixed a shattered MacBook Pro Screen that I admitted breaking, and my iPhone, I jokingly said I threw it to see what would happen.

I was in and out with a repaired phone in 15 minutes.

They would not fix my daughter's iPhone4 that took a nose dive into a snow bank.
15 days that she had it. 🙁

I'll one up you OP, Logitech will just ship you a new replacement and not worry about sending the old one back.

I've had 3 iPhone screens replaced for free. They also upgraded my MBP after I was having a small issue with it. Amazing.

Apple's too generous. I know someone who broke her iPhone screen 2 or 3 times already because she's a clumsy idiot. Each time, Apple has given her a new one (may or may not have been refurbs, but still)... WTF?

Seems like they did pretty well. You left them both $30 lighter and happier with them at the same time. Pretty soon they'll have you throwing money out the car window at them every time you pass an apple store.

I read somewhere that their customer service is built into the price, so they make you pre-pay for those free/cheap repairs.
