yep, that sums it up. It's a piece of software that is very poorly written. And they just can't seem to get it right after such a long time

PDF is good for mixed text+graphics. It is NOT good for anything that involves editing. Plain text is best left as plain text. Datasheets are best served in PDF.

But the actual software itself is still a hog. And there are a few different programs like the one above that do the same thing, so you might have better luck with others.

THIS worked. If this was in the forum issues forum I'd mark this post as the answer.

Bitaches.

I don't have much of a problem with pdf files most of the time;
but on my computer at school, and at home, adobe reader is the #1 application for freezing the computer... no other program freezes the thing up anywhere near as often.

If this were Forum Issues, this thread would be locked, or moved to the correct forum (which ironically is what should be done here).

version 6 is particularly bad, but version 7 seems to be much faster

I agree, 7 is faster for me.

B/C it has a little app that loads at startup that aids in starting up the App faster

Even with that disabled and not in my startup it seems to load faster.

Thank you, Captain Pundit. Please post more often on this thread. I'm not sure everyone gets it. Thanks.

If "someone" really comprehended the point, said "someone" would surely not complain about any responses - let alone ridicule in any way those who offered help to said individual lacking enough gray matter to find the correct forum in which to post a problem.

If you need additional help deducing who that "someone" might be, I've arranged for skywriter to fly over your part of Maryland later this afternoon.
