"Nothing is less cool than talking or dealing with a slobbering drunk, especially a young one who thinks he looks cool but in reality looks and sounds like a dumb fvck"

RED you couldn't be more right. I've worked as a part time bouncer at a local bar a couple of nights over the last few weeks, and a drunk assed 21year old is a real treat to deal with.

But getting back on topic, why do I drink? Not to get drunk, can't stand doing things I don't remember. I have two hard lemonades or the occasional beer (great stuff if you can find it), and just relax, forgetting how much I hate my job. It's nice.

Alcohol is used as a crutch only for me. Most of the time I am lucky enough to have better ways of getting lifted if you know what I mean.

For a naturally shy person such as myself, I find it hard to converse comfortably with people who i am not already friends with. Alcholol helps relieve social inhibitions. minor amounts of alcohol daily is actually good for the body.

Plus of course, binge drinking is a f*%^@ing BLAST!

Its very fun to get drunk. Although im not condoning excessive and stupid drinking, in response to someone's message about being tired of dealing with drunkards while being a bouncer, it comes with the job, of course u are going to have to deal with excessively drunk people in a bar.

I have some very simple reasons.

First of all, I think it's boring as HELL to be at a party where other people are drinking, and where I'm not. So there. I basially think all parties are boring until I start to get drunk :)

Second, it's much more fun to walk around, you can do and WILL do more crazy and fun stuff, and you get much more social (ok, I do).

I stick to beer.....I absolutely loathe liquir, and wine is pretty crap too. Champagne is great though too :) and if you're quick you can always toss down a couple of welcome drinks if there are such things :) but beer is much social and fun to play around with :)
