Personally I could care less about soldiers "they fight for our freedom" yeah fucking right. They are out there legally killing innocent people because either A. They are anti-social psychopaths or B. They are robots who do as they are told. When they die, yes sure its sad to lose any life, but I feel no remorse. The same when a cop gets shot, I could care less, people get whats coming to them in life. You go around messing with people, and killing innocence, eventually your time will come.

Anyway, soldiers do deserve a thumbs up. My cousin is in the army. It's a hard job.

Cops, well, you know, it's an awfully dangerous job handing out traffic tickets and ya know, they need to be paid $90k a year for that. So what if they just have a high school education. I swear the cops here wouldn't move off their asses even if you tased them and took their Timmies away.
 
When I was a young man I would go to a certain army bar and beat the fuck out these fuckers..just because they were assholes. If I could of done it to a police bar without getting arrested..i would of done the same.

I absolutely despise pricks in authority.
 
Cops, I could almost agree. Almost. They see some serious shit too. Unfortunately a lot of bad cops give cops as a whole a bad name. Cities really need to do something about all the corruption that goes on in the police force.

As for soldiers, if they had not signed up, the government WOULD be drafting. Consider yourself lucky some people sign up and actually want to go. They see some serious shit and go through serious shit, and actually choose to continue. I think they deserve quite a lot of respect.

While we are here in clean clothes with a roof over our heads, they're in mud trenches, sand, and otherwise dirty wet and crazy hot conditions hauling nearly 100lbs of gear around and getting shot at and don't know from one minute to the next if they'll live to see the end of the day. A single stray bullet to the head and it's game over. Sleep? you don't really have time to sleep when people are trying to kill you. There's no bell that goes off for a shift change.
 
Reverence for soldiers I don't understand. It's just a job like any other. Generals and officers get my respect because they've actually accomplished something.
