Who is the moron - someone who accepts what they are told without question, or someone who looks at a situation and asks questions?

OK then smart guy, Astronaut David Scott performed Galileo's experiment on the Moon. He dropped a hammer and a feather at the same time and both hit the ground at the same time proving Galileo's theory was correct. The only reason a feather does not fall at the same rate as a hammer on Earth is because of wind resistance. Explain to me how this experiment was done if they were on Earth. 1960s trick photography?

I didn't say I believe the moon landings were faked. I don't believe they were. But I wouldn't call a person a moron because they don't believe everything they're told.

There is a difference between someone who doesn't believe everything they are told and someone who buys into propaganda bullsh|t spread by the Fox network.

These days, if you're a millionare, you can pay for a trip to the moon. I read an article on this Russian multi millionare that did it. So, thats just another fact supporting that we did successfully land on the moon.

So you're saying the people that don't believe in the moon landings are the same people that voted for Bush?

Better check yourself and your own family history for all of the reasons you mentioned.

I thought the United States was the only country to have landed on the moon

And we haven't done it (or been capable of doing it) for decades

Exactly, but 'these days' and 'those days' were completely different. Again I don't believe there was a conspiracy here, but I surely wouldn't put it past our government.

There is a whole site devoted to trying to explain how the moon landing was fake.

You might as well just watch Pat Robertson and eat gallons of ice cream.

But if we didn't succeed in 'those days' how can we be sure of sending a person 'these days' to the moon will be successfull?

Not believing in the moon landing is a far cry from believing everything we're told.

There's reasonable reserve and then there's quackery.

you can argue all you want about flags and such, but in 1969 astronauts left a mirror on the moon. an observatory here on earth bounces a laser off of that mirror to determine if the exact distance to the moon and its rate of change.

they did a story on this on the discovery channel one time. the guy who runs the observatory invited anyone to come and see for themselves.

$100,000,000 to go to the moon. I was right.

Space Adventures, an Arlington, Va., based company, announced plans Wednesday morning for two passengers to ride a Russian Soyuz rocket to the moon and back as soon as 2008. A Russian cosmonaut would pilot the space craft.

And it's a lunar fly-by at that. Which is EXTREMELY different than landing on the moon.

Uh, no. Going into space != landing and returning from the moon. You are talking about a difference of orders of magnitude in complexity.

That said, I seriously doubt we faked the moon landing.

of course the moon landing was a fake! because there really is no moon. it's actually a giant ball of cheese orbiting the earth. it's been hoarded there by an ancient alien race. but the gov't doesn't want you to know. it's a conspiracy with the dairy council to keep the prices of cheese artificially inflated. jeez some people are so clueless.

You would know that because you landed on the moon yourself, right?
