For nearly all of history, the men that have survived and thrived are the ones who had the highest competitive drive, were the best hunters, and were the best at defending themselves and providing for their families. Men lived under the regular threat of violence and competition from other men for nearly all of their lives.

In today's society, men need not compete. We don't worry about providing for our families, we don't have to be on the look out for violence or predators, and we don't worry about competition for resources since resources are relatively plentiful. The only thing we have to compete in now are sport. But that doesn't mean our inherent competitive drive has been quenched. So we then go out into our modern world and make trivial things "girly" and decide what man should and should not do. Men should not eat peaches and yogurt, men should not bake cookies, men should not drive a Volkswagen Beetle, or listen to pop music. These are just remnants of a different time.

Why does anyone have to be comfortable with their sexuality? I'm not comfortable carrying a man purse...are you? I'm not comfortable wearing a kilt or even wearing a shirt with a rainbow or if it says go gay people on it...typically most men in our society aren't due to our particular social culture. So it's certainly not normal to be that comfortable with your sexuality at least as far as the norm goes for our culture here in the states.

Any trait that a man considers as a weakness, will naturally grab his attention. That's why guys have a tendency to give each other hell if one is a coward, looks unhealthy...etc. Probably a way our ancestors weeded out any weak links from the herd.
