Why do some guys have to be as 'manly' as possible?

Out of curiosity, how masculine do you think it is when men shave their pubes off and have their chest waxed, giving them that prepubescent look? :p [waiting for some posters to chime in with, "but, but..."]

I don't think that leads to a masculine appearance at all. On the other hand if one is doing so on their own accord and free of outside influence you could say that aspect alone is a masculine trait, just not the result. I highly doubt the behavior in question is performed totally of ones own volition and instead greatly influenced by outside pressures.

I don't shave chest hairs, but the others? yeah... that's just being clean man.
