Join the world wars? I got news for you: you only joined them because you were blindly following England's lead. And you didn't even make any impact in them! I don't ! think that I have ever seen a textbook or a historical essay on World Wars I and II that ever once mentioned you.
Canada finished World War II with the 3rd largest navy in the world and the 4th largest air force.

We automatically joined World War I when Britain declared war, but joined WWII on our own accord 24 hours after the Brits did. The Navy then, as I remember reading, was mostly responsible for making sure crucial supplies arrived overseas to unoccupied Europe. The RCAF did an unnumerable amount of sorties into Germany itself composed of both fighter and bomber squadrons. Canada itself also housed a massive compound for air war training.
Canadian equipment being transferred to Hong Kong when Japan entered WWII was transferred on a moment's notice to the United States. No political BS, the need was apparent and being allies in wartime made our countries brothers.
On D-Day in Europe, the Canadian forces were the only allied unit to secure their objectives - against the war-mad soldiers of Hitler's youth movement, no less. Canadian ground forces by most accounts were revered as battle-hardened professionals.
I don't really mind the regular semi-goodnatured country bashing that goes on around here but would rather not see stuff like the above quote be thrown around. Some respect for what my country has given to the world would be appreciated.
