I'm really glad that it worked out for you like that and I know that it does play out like this for enough guys. However, in many cases, what happens is 'you' become the guy that the girl comes crying to and tells you what a total dbag your friend is. Then she gives you a hug, tells you what a nice guy you are, then heads back to her dbag bf and gives him good, freaky sex until the next time she needs a shoulder to cry on. Those friendzone memes aren't out there for no reason.

I'm trying very hard for perfection in everything across the board

For example, I'm not happy unless I'm 7 to 9% bodyfat. If I can't see all my abs without flexing, it's a problem. I'm getting a hair transplant done because I have some minor recession in the temples (overall still have very dense hair black hair to go along with my olive skin)

that's the superficial stuff but I'm like that when it comes to character stuff also. I don't think I've ever said no to a friend in need. I still send a lot of money back home overseas to my family in Armenia. I think I'm a very good person - I'm very honest, considerate, supportive, unselfish, loyal, etc....
