Part of making it hard to quit are all the little rituals that you do. A friend of mine pretty much quit smoking, but when he drinks he has to have a smoke. Not really for a nic fix, but because he's not comfortable without it.I did it when I was a smoker, and to me it was just one more fun ritual associated with smoking.
