because he's funny
See topic summary.
Apparently you wouldn't know funny if it slapped you in the face with a sea bass.
The majority of the population think that he was funny. If you ever are sitting around thinking "Why does 99% of the population think something is good?" maybe it's because it actually is and you're the weird guy that disagrees.

I find it hard to believe people can't see the humor in not only his jokes, but his delivery.
I'm glad I don't hang you with some of you, you're probably dull as fuck.

How can anyone eat at a time like this when the Dufranes are missing, it should be "Johnson party of 4, you can eat once you find the Dufranes"
not word for word but the bit is fucking GOLD.

Aww don't be such a hater.
Someone handed me a picture and said, "This is a picture of me when I was younger." Every picture of you is when you were younger." Here's a picture of me when I'm older." Where'd you get that camera man?
Haha okay that's pretty good. I don't even get the wino joke above.

I love his bit about the dry cleaners being closed @ 3am. Classic.

If I were to make a scale from 1 to 10 he would appear at about 7.5. Pretty funny, but never "I'm can't breathe I'm laughing so hard" funny, and sometimes he drops off and you have to wait for him to finish berating himself (sometimes this is funny too) to get back to the good stuff.

Yeah there are definitely moments where his one-liners are kind of meh... but I still laugh at just the delivery, as like you say.. he'll cut out, make some quips, and continue. Overall I'd say I laugh a hell of a lot. On average, I'd agree with about a 7.5 or 8, but that's almost cutting him down. Because the amount I laugh would equal close to a 9, just because some parts I'm almost falling out of my chair.
The Robin Williams HBO special like 5 years back just had me almost hyperventilating a lot of the show though. That was a 10. Haven't looked to see if he has all that many other specials. Should do that one day.
I don't have a girlfriend. But I do know a woman who'd be mad at me for saying that.
