never hacked in any "real" games before...
had some matches with cousins/friends/clanmates
where EVERYone hacked just to see the results...

I once downloaded the source to Vasily Pupkin's clientbot and screwed around made a typical hack, and i even used multiview to add a rearview mirror to cs...but i found it so pointless to use. Fun to expirment with the programing/hook aspect...but playing with hacks is boring and not really fun.

I hate the hackers just as much as the next guy...one time, back in the earlier beta days, I downloaded a hack of some sort and tested it in a test LAN game (just me and another computer in my house) but I never used against anyone over the 'Net or at any LAN party. The hack was so pethetic, I couldn't believe how anyone could want to play like that...some sort of pinpoint hack for showing locations of people, IIRC.

I think steam should quickly find the Won ID's of those hacking and do a perma-ban on all of steam. That'll teach hackers (especially after most of them go and spend 29.99 on a new cd key 😀)

yeah, I wish they would get hard@ss like battle.net and just ban people left and right. The problem is, I doubt they'll hire people for the sole purpose of monitoring random games on the net to catch cheaters

thats what programs like csguard and hl guard are for...just dont tell anybody about it, have steam one day d/l it and BAM...out of nowhere your banned if you have a hack running 🙂

i played honesty for a year before i tried hacking. i only did it for like a week though just to see what it was like. after i stopped it was a lot easier to catch cheaters because i knew what to look for better.
