what the difference in having a good time with a soda and having a good time with a beer?
believe it or not, but about the time senior year rolls around, most people dont care about being cool anymore. Having a good time > cool. Now, of course the cool kids will only drink at parties and tell people who drink by themselves that they are losers, but really alcohol and coolness have little to do with each other these days, despite the common stereotypeOriginally posted by: saxophonoia
because when you are underage it's the cool thing to do I guess ??

Drinking in moderation can be quite fun. Drinking to the point of not remembering what the hell you have done is stupid. I've done it once...and never again...

I have never consumed alcohol, but I am wondering what is so great about drinking?
I've been hearing from many of my friends, whom are still in high school, and their party and drinking experiences, but could not understand why they do it.
So, ATOT, why do you think that people drink, and what motivates people under age 21 to drink?
Is it peer pressure?
Anti-depressant?
...
Or does it just taste damn good?

This is one of those things you have to experience first hand.
As a rule, most alcohol based beverages do not taste "damn good".

nothing wrong with drinking in moderation, even when underage
21 is just a number
drinking is fun, the effects of the alcohol feel good and it livens social situations
be smart and make good decisions, just like with everything else in life you do

I'm drinking it as we speak (type (think)), and yeah....it really does.
I had a recipe for Long Island Iced Tea that I was trying to make, but I didn't have any kinda sour mix or whatever to throw in there so i just did lemon juice and salt. That really is what it taste like though, and potent! o so potent!![]()
