Why do people brush and floss in public washrooms?

i always find it gross when i am taking a shit here at work and i hear a guy start brushing his teeth with his electric toothbrush. then i go out and wash my hands and he is on the sink next to me.

something about that is just gross (would be gross to me if i was him).
