I can't believe the way some kids dress to go to school.

Geez, all schools should have uniforms or at the very least, a dress code.

Uniforms is a bit much and most schools do have some sort of dress code in place. You also have to realize that there are a lot of families out there that can not afford to nicely dress their children.

some school due require uniforms but unless they are private school they must provide a release form to the parents in case parents don't want there child to wear the uniform. So the only way the uniform works is if alot of people support it and even then you will some kids in regular cloth

Uniforms are cheaper for parents, especially when kids demand the latest designer fashions.

maybe so but some parents don't want there children to be in unform and they the reason kids dress they way they are is because parents decided to let give them the freedom to dress they way they feel like

It may be cheaper for parents who buy their children all the new expensive trendy crap, but there are still those parents who would be unable to afford them.

define dressing like a slob... dressing punkish? dressing full down in baggy nike athletic gear, rapper style? bandanas, those type of accessories? Maybe your just out of style and you think the fashion of today is "slobbish". Or do you just mean a old dirty white shirt and baggy pair of faded jeans? Backwards hat?

Personally I like to dress up, it makes me feel more confident, its comfortable, and hell I'm going to be wearing a suit everyday once I get into the real world, why not start my last year of high school?

Uniforms are NOT cheaper because you've still got to buy the kid halfway decent things to wear during off school hours and for special occasions. You end up buying uniforms+street clothing.

What makes you think you will be wearing a suit everyday once you get a job?

blah blah blah it doesn't affect you, so mind your own business.

I pay school tax. That makes it my business.
So because you pay school taxes you feel that entitles you to tell others how to dress?

I'm sorry, but the uber-serious "Jr Executive Business Man" guys in my high school who wore suits and carried briefcases (there were a couple of these guys) were about as popular as lepers. I'd advise you enjoy the freedom of not wearing a monkey suit while you still can.

Correct. We had a strict dress code in my high school (choice of 3 solid color polo/oxford shirts, choice of 2 colors of solid slacks), and buying those clothes were not cheap. Not to mention something to wear after school, weekends, and of course, summer.

hahahhaha. That reminds me of a kid who used to wear a suit in ELEMENTARY school. He always played football in it and it would get all dirty, then the kids would beat him up. Anyways, he ended up wearing a suit for the rest of the year until he moved. He must of had some wacky parents.
