I just asked The Big Boss if he wanted to go have Chinese food for lunch. He said:
Yeah Mike, that sounds good...gotta stop at the ATM first though...I've got no cash.
He makes 5x what I do, yet he NEVER has money in his wallet. I'm not talking $100 or more...not even $5!
I have noticed this w/my boss, too, as well as most of the other guys in the office.
What do they have in common? All of them are Married With Children.
I understand they have bills and expenses. So do I. But they always open the wallet and say "Damn. My wife/kids/dog/cat raided my wallet again!"
WTH? Isn't your wallet "sacred space" or "off-limits?"
When I was cohabitating, my wallet was off limits as was her purse. You just don't go thru your wife's/GFs purse! It's private.
I'd be pissed if I thought I had money and my wallet was empty.
What's wrong w/you married guys?

Hmm, it seems I need to change the thread title to "How come all men are always broke?"
Still, it was a different idea for a thread in OT. Thanks to all for playing.
Oh, Big Dan, you're female?Ya never can tell, sometimes!
I'm married and have a two year old kid. To answer your question, I sometimes have cash, sometimes don't. If I don't have money that means I don't spend it. Sometimes it's just sheer laziness on my part to make my wife carry the money. I had money but it was confiscated by my wife when she ran out. I had money but spent it already.Originally posted by: MichaelD
