Guys, from different areas, all have different tastes. Some places, men like 'em large all around, some like 'em big on top and others like 'em very skinny. I prefer the athletic type myself: good body all around and definitely has feminine curves (I'm not talking olympic runner athlete).

I like soft and just a little thick. Much prefer heavier than skinner. I laugh when I see some of these twig women walking around like they are sexy.

I think there's more to it than just what's been said. I personally like women with tight stomachs. I think the whole petite/thin woman thing has several factors:
1. Culture/media (obvious)
2. Smaller women appear more youthful. Western culture worships youth and youthfulness and therefore these women would appear more attractive.
3. Power. Men feel more physically powerful around a smaller woman. I'm not saying the man has some psycological fault, it's just that most people enjoy feeling more powerful.
4. It's easier to gain weight than to lose it. Maybe men are picking women that will remain in the "attractive" range for longer.
Personally, I grew up around runners, so I value fitness and tend to find slightly thinner women more attractive than slightly voluptuous ones. But at least I realize my preferences.

Taller women can be better, I have a gf who's 5' 8" and I'm 5' 10", means that when you talk or whatever it's more "personal", and you're not looking down on them. Not sure of weight, but it's kinda not to skinny, not too fat . Also, taller girls quite often are less of a pushover, whereas shorter girls might be less able to stand up for themselves (partly physically), so that's easier for a bloke to handle.
