why do some guys think that beating up people or even threatening to do it is impressive ?
i find it primative and the biggest turn offf: EVER.

heres a little senario that occured tonight:

me: *dancing my cute little kathryn dance*
random drunk guy: *comes up behind me, grabs my hips and begins "dancing" with me from behind
me: *dirty look, walk over to one of my guy friends*
guy friend: "hehe, humpy mcHump giving you a hard time sweetie?"
me: "you should use that as your way to pick up girls, look how well it works..."*giggle*

so then this random drunk guy keeps coming back to me trying to dance with/fondle/grope/rub up against me so finally getting fed up i look at my guy friend and say "okay are you going to save me or what? pretend to by my boyfriend"
so hes like "oh fine, nag nag nag 😉" so he puts his arm around me and we do things to make it apparent that we're together.
so random guy goes away and i continue my merry little kathryn dance then my friend goes to the bathroom and random guy comes back and says to me "yo, is that your boyfriend" and i smile and say "yesssssss" and hes like "f**k, that guys a pussy, i could kick his ass" and im like "why would you want to?" and hes like "a guy like that doesnt deserve a girl like you, i should kick his ass" at which point im like "okay, you think that the way to win my heart is to come over and threaten to beat up my boyfriend?!" and hes like "well, i just want you to see what a pussy he is" so then i said "yeah well its too bad that im against all forms of violence and thats the sort of the quality i look for in a man isnt it?"
then i ran away.


agh! and the same goes for people who get all angry and want to fight when they are drinking. like what the hell? just have some fun ... really.

DAH.

heres a hint: FIGHTING IS NOT COOL! infact i give it official GHETTO status.

I have to agree with this. You know the territory... (although I certainly don't condone the behavior, since that guy's obviously a drunken lout)
 
I agree, especially about the drunk fighting part. When I used to work for a security company that closed bars at 2am I was AMAZED at how many people wanted to fight when they got drunk. Ok, #1 I'm ARMED and trained and I have 2 other armed and trained officers with me, it would be a bad idea even if you were sober. #2 You're drunk. The sugar has weakend your muscles terribly and the alcohol has destroyed your mind and dexterity...WHY EVEN TRY??? But still, 2 or 3 guys a week just HAD to try it. So much money wasted on medical supplies *shrug*.

I don't understand guys that won't take 'no' the first time anyway. Try it once, if she says no, back off. No discussion. People just suck, especially guys.

Sorry it had to be a bummer night out, hope the rest went ok.

Was just wondering why you subject yourself to it... (clubs are not my thing.. and I think that guys who act like that should be shot; they're a disgrace)
 
eakers, I totally agree with you. Although it is good if a guy knows how to defend himself, being aggressive just to show off is stupid. Good thing you had some help 🙂

Do those exist? Clubs make their money on alcohol. The 18+ clubs serve alcohol, IIRC. need ID Or a wristband or something.


Re: eakers....It happens. There are tons of guys that go out to either hook up or get in a fight every weekend. This guy was trying to kill two birds with one stone. There are quite a few people that get violent after drinkiing alcohol, it's not cool, and ends up just being a pain in the ass to deal with when you go out, but it's part of the terriitory at a bar/club. Anyone know any violent potheads? Yea, I thought not 🙂

I don't see why you guys are blaming Eakers for putting herself in a bad place. She wanted to go dancing. She wasn't complaining about thier being drunk guys there, she jsut wanted to know what it is about guysthat makes them think beating up other guys is impressive.

Personally, I can't help. I avoid fighting, and I've never in my life fought to impress someone.

every 18+ club i've been to serves alcohol
 
One of my ex's used to ask me the question "What would you do if some guy did ____ to me?"

I was like, WTF? I wouldn't beat the crap out of him if thats what you wanted. Having a gun and a shovel isn't a good thing. Call the police and press charges. If that doesn't work, THEN show up with the baseball bat.
