Yeah the sidewalk is for 12 and under.A bike path is the safest, tho.

Wear a helmet,and be careful.Drive your car on the road,or a motorcycle.

A neighbors daughter got run into, while biking last year.Dead on arrival at the hospital.

:(

No helmet.32 years old,very nice,pretty woman.
Brain trauma killed her.
:(

Probably something the OP would cheer.

On a lighter note, I remember some years back some ass was playing around with a guy on a bike. Dangerously playing that is. At a red light, the biker snuck up on him, pulled him out of the car and beat the crap out of him. They never caught the biker :p

And Fausto, WTF are you doing, I can't PM you. Bastage.

i just don't see how bike paths are safe. they are essentially the road shoulder. which is basically the most dangerous part of the road.

If there is no bike lane, I take up the whole lane when I bike to work so there is no way to pass me without changing lanes. I don't share lanes with cars, because if you do, the will go in the same lane and pass you within an inch going 40 mph.

I've always used both in direct proportion to width of lane and amount of booze consumed. I sure as hell ain't one of them spandex clowns in the middle of the lanes with a whistle in my mouth though.

yea i hate bike lanes. basically the biker is daring u to hit em. if pedestians shouldn't be walking on the road, neither should bicyclists. its very easy to hit a rut or rock and wipe out on a bike, then get splattered. dragging a poor car driver into an investigation where they will be assumed the guilty party. its just too dangerous.. a little drift and bump and splat.

 I guess we should ban motorcycles too, then. Actually, I know a lot more people who've been injured riding motorcycles on the street than bicycles.

Actually, why not jsut ban every vehicle smaller than a semi truck, since they'd all easily be crushed in a collision with one.

Well said

Actually its more dangerous to ride on the sidewalk and know from experience.

What kind of roads or highways ? Just curious. Also do a lot of people beep their horn or anything or get mad?

This is the only way to not get doored as well with a area where a lot of cars a parked.

Most places the law is in direct relation to tyre size. 20in. or less is usually legal on a sidewalk. Any larger and your stickin' it to the man.

The op is the dumbest person I have ever seen on here. They have bicycle lanes on the road for, zomg, BICYCLES.

I just wish people would do a google search and try to find out why things the way they are before they ignorantly post a completely dumbass rant which they will be flamed for.
