...I have an idea, why not create a Democrats version of Fox News Network, with the morning starting off with a video of Warrnok reciting a prayer, for the religious Democrats. The news anchors being Micheal Bloomberg, Michelle Obama, C.J. Wallace, Paris Jackson. MLK III and Al Sharpton would both have their own shows. Also, Kevin Hart will have his own news comedy show, as Fox has its Gutfield...
Actually, it needs to be the exact opposite of this.

We don't need more liberals talking politics all the time.

Most people Do. Not. Care.

We need organic media that is interesting to people because it's interesting, and if it occasionally brushes up against liberal/leftist ideas without SCREAMING IT DIRECTLY INTO PEOPLE'S FACES... then we're making progress.

That's what Rogan is...a podcast with a quirky guy who gets high and ask a lot of different people questions. Yes, he's a brain-damaged talk show host, but he doesn't have an audience for nothing. He might be wrong on a whole host of issues, but he'll bring on any number of people to talk and ask questions. Is there a "liberal" version of Rogan, someone who doesn't claim to know everything, isn't pontificating 100% of the time, and gets smart and powerful people to just speak and answer questions? There sure is shit isn't someone as big as Rogan, anyway.

And...no one is going to watch a news network with a bunch of fucking politicians reading the news. If the only god damn thing liberals/lefties/Democrats can do is talk politics all the fucking time, expect more people to tune out and turn off. It's not even that Democrats are virtue signaling as much as it's just exhausting for most people to sit and listen to it constantly all the time. There's no fucking joy in any of it, it's fight fight fight or we're all going to die. And I'm just as guilty as anyone else with that shit.

Until we're able to "weave" our message into the broader media/entertainment popular culture, we're just talking to ourselves and I know I'm not the only one exhausted by it.

It isn't that Democrats haven't gotten their message out. It's that the only thing Democrats have is a bunch of policy points that could easily fit on a power point slide, and we're not always able to translate that into a view of the world that a majority of eligible voters would like to live in.

Maybe we should not have used ACME campaign products. Sure feels like we are the coyote and they blew up in our face. I always wondered if the leftists were pissed about embracing disaffected republicans. But if that caused them to sit it out that was not very bright on their part.

Interesting analysis by an economist on how Trump tapped into the economic frustrations of the people.

TLDW: 50yrs of stagnant wage growth greatly exacerbated by the pandemic inflation. People were fed up, Trump sold them an "answer" which won't work.

She has a lot of interesting videos, highly recommend you dig into her channel.
I mean.. yeah, that's the general unrest and frustration that a lot of Americans feel. It also feeds into the narrative that govt isn't getting things done, regardless of who says it. Presidents alternating after single terms is actually a bad thing.

According to Financial Times, the Democrats weren't the only party in power to lose this year. At least ten major countries have had incumbents kicked out, evidently over the inflation spike. I'd link to the story, but FT is paywalled, so here's the Slashdot link I got it from:

I've been saying this but nobody listens. It wasn't because she's a woman or because she's black or because she ran a bad campaign or because Biden held on too long. It's because the conservative media machine has been working overtime for 4 years to pound it in to their sheep that the economy sucks. Then these sheep have been complaining to everyone with a pulse that the economy sucks. You end up with 66% of the population that believe the economy sucks whether their personal situation sucks or not, and everyone knows whatever is wrong in life is the President's and his party's fault.

Stern does this but being on satellite limits his audience and my guess is that he has lost a lot of what was left because he is "too woke."

Still haven't seen mass firings at the DNC, or the useless consultant class and idiot staffers sent packing.

Dems response: .... (aside from blaming Latinos, racism, etc, basically stuff that will never land or change minds).

Useless party can go get fucked for the next 30 years. I don't care anymore.

Again: why are you all on board the jump to conclusions train before we have all the data and time an analyze it?

Lots of people going around screaming "Dems lost because of my pet issue". And then when you look at down ballot races, the House is still split closely, key state houses were held... It seems that some just want to run around with their hair on fire.

Yeah, cable and satellite are dead. If it's not on a "social media" site, or just a plain old podcast that also shows up on Youtube, it might as well not exist.

And they still don't know who's to blame. It certainly didn't start with the Biden administration. The billionaire misinformation machine will straighten this all out for us though.

I'm entitled to a better economy. It's my birth rite as an American. Why shouldn't my economic standard be a thousand times better than the third world? Off with the political heads. Trump will suck the country dry and take us all to heaven in his golden jet plane. I'm going to golf at Merry Lardo my brain ticking over at largo.

The last liberal apolitical talk show host I can remember is Charlie Rose, but he got #metooed 7 years ago.

There's definitely a double standard now. A liberal talk show host gets mere allegations - though a lot of them - and gets cancelled. A conservative ex-president gets a civil judgement against him...and becomes president again. o_O

Yeah, and even then, Charlie Rose wasn't reaching anyone younger than 40 who wasn't already tuned into politics.

We want a media presence where 13+ adolescents and young adults are tuning in for laughs and interesting information, and if the get introduced to liberal/lefty ideas, hey, that's life.
