Why did the democrats fall so far short of expectations this election?

Because they didn't follow the prime directive.

I just read a comment on another forum that speculated the main reason Dumpster was delaying the election results by filing bogus lawsuits was in order to keep collecting massive donations from his mindless followers for as long as possible.

And it makes perfect sense ... Trump's supporters being the biggest suckers of the bunch.

Also apparently there's a disclaimer on the Trump donation page stating something like: "50% of the donations collected by this web-site will go towards Trump's election expense debt".

Follow the money.

I'm still on this issue about the dem's ground game in swing states because it isn't getting sufficient attention. Here's more:

Summary: foreign journalist who covered 2018 midterms said dems had virtually nothing going on in south Florida. The GOP offices were well staffed and organized, while the dem "offices" had like two guys sitting around with their thumbs up their asses who had no information about anything.

Depends on what state you move from. California could give up a couple of million democrats to "take one for the team" and move to the thinly populated red states. I say that in jest, but it just shows how absurd the electoral college is, that the same people, voting the same way could change the outcome just by living in another state.
Well that would mean people voting pick the President and several conservatives on here have been adamant that people don’t select the president the states do.

So you admit that there are no jobs for rural areas by your statement of ,"It's their only shot" in regards to magically making job positions via internet.

Amazing. Absolutely amazing that one can come to that epic level of stupidity. I mean, just look at all the rural areas in other countries that have internet - they are absolutely thriving out the ass lol.
Since you never answered this I will ask again.

So in your opinion how do we fix rural America? I have note seen a clear answer on exactly what potential new industries will spring up there and the historical ones have all been automated.

his answer is keep them off the information superhighway and in no way invest in any new energy technologies in their areas.

He is like Rush Limbaugh, good at complaining about things but doesn't have any idea of what the real issue is and how to fix it.

Democrats took CV19 much more seriously and therefore didn't interact nearly as much personally with rank and file.

at this point I say we just use Napalm to fix rural america. Call it anti-abortion liquid and just spray it on them, they'll smile up until the last second.

He's been voting for the Job Creators to take care of it for 40 years, and they have, just not in the way he'd like. They've taken care of the Rust Belt the same way.

You sincerely need some mental help.

oh look, here comes the resident self-proclaimed genius. here we are suggesting green energy/infrastructure/broadband investment along with more healthcare to help the rural areas and we are fucking idiots. you refuse to answer the question and my response draws you out of the woodwork.

if not Napalm at least we should sterilize them don't you think?

Republicans and moderate Democrats voted to destroy the tax incentives that kept industry inside the United States, making it extremely lucrative to move operations offshore for all of that extra profit. That's the entire point of Republican "trickle-down", or as Bush Sr. called it before bending the knee to Reagan, "Voodoo Economics".

Democrats come along and try to reason with rural Americans by telling them their fucking factory jobs are gone and not coming back, their jobs digging coal for black lung disease and serfdom isn't coming back, and that they're going to have to transition into the new economy like everyone else, since SOCIALISM is evil. And they hear that they aren't just going to get all their imaginary jobs back, and immediately vote for the Republican Party, that fucking destroyed the tax incentives that kept industry within the United States.

It's hilarious, it's tragic, and it's the crux of Modern US Conservatism.

What makes it so frustrating is watching people like n0b0dy scream hysterically into the mirror while blaming the libruuls for all the country's problems. Although it can be entertaining.
