Witness the collapse of Wyoming's coal industry which now threatens state revenue as the royalties dry up. They should have been encouraging wind development for the last decade but instead they decided to tax wind power per MWh which their neighbors do not. Result was projects and $$$$$ went elsewhere.
Man, I just can't imagine where there would be enough space in the state for wind power. Seriously, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming have massive open areas, plenty of wind. Hugh farms are already all over Central Eastern Washington. Also, Microsoft has huge data farms out there also. Data farms barely dent employment though.

Lincoln Project Republicans are the difference.
Wisconsin didn't like Trump attempting to set their cities on fire.
Michigan disliked militias stalking Gov.
Pennsylvania drew back just a tad after Trump said he didn't want to be there.
Blacks everywhere don't like their kids being shot by police.

and The misconception that Dems WANT covid restrictions. (as opposed to NEED Covid restrictions)

Republicans thank you greatly for donating millions of dollars to produce a few shit-budget quality youtube videos that poke at Trump to people that already hate Trump - but not realizing that this is still a Republican-owned organization that will be glad to put the millions to good use to elect and win more local/state elections.

In general treating Pennsylvanians (especially the Philly metro area) with little respect was not a wise thing to do. Read more than a few complaints in pieces where people started to sour on him after he canceled the Eagles visit to the WH. This is not a part of the world that takes slights lightly or fails to remember them.

You can't discount the crazies. I see Joe Biden is a pedo comments all over social media, and I don't follow any right wing groups or news on there. They pop up all over in people's comment sections. No democrat messaging can overcome these lunatics.

I'm from the Philly burbs, and this is accurate.

The general sentiment is "Fuck Trump, but more importantly, fuck the Cowboys."

What state and local elections are they putting the millions towards, specifically?

Do you actually follow members of the Lincoln Project? They are pretty adamant that the whole Trumper party get ousted first. I have only seen them support Democratic challengers in major state races like for the Senate, even against Susan Collins, the so called reasonable moderate. For now they are completely against any Republican that enabled Trump, which is 99% of them, and they are going to offer support in GA against Perdue for the runoff, that has been confirmed, and I would wager Loeffler as well.

Only the useful idiots from the left give a second thought to a bunch of disgruntled political hacks. LP is just another hypocritical echo chamber telling us that Trump is encouraging harassment while they themselves are tweeting out the personal information of people.

Everybody is a disgruntled political hack. Conservative intellectuals, Republican operatives, former Republican cabinet members, national security officials, chairs of the RNC, governors. I'm starting to think you are part of an obscene cult. Oh wait... That's just a polite way to put what kind of deplorables you are.

Why?

Andrew Yang is making a lot of sense in this video below.
But alas we already are heading the miserably mediocre takes from the centrists who lost their fucking house seats they need to fucking shut their pie holes...

On another note no House Representative who who has endorsed M4A has lost their seat...
Yet somehow the loser conservadems in the House get asked what went wrong?!

Fuck that and anyone who defends such idiocracy.

Meanwhile, my cousin and aunt this weekend were talking about how the "socialists" were going to kill pre-existing condition protections, and how they were worried they wouldn't be able to get healthcare under Joe (cousin's kids are on medicaid and she is on an exchange plan). Just like in 2009, a bunch of hardcore Union members told me how Obama was going to ban unions.

Most people on the right have no idea what they are voting for or against. They just know that their churches tell them Democrats murder babies, their club tells them Democrats will take their guns, and their H&R block guy tells them they will raise their taxes as he processes their EIC.

I'm sorry, but to me those people are not harmless ignoramuses anymore, they are literally enabling evil civically useless motherfuckers.

I agree, but WTF do you do about it? How do you get through to people who get all of their information through republican channels and church, and even then don't actually listen to what they are saying. I.e. if you listen to any republican talking head for long, you can tell they hate Obamacare and unions, but the supporters just don't hear those parts.

There is no hope. These people are too far gone. The only options left are the extremely difficult - move to a blue state and blue dense area. You'll just be around a lot less of the dimwits geographically speaking which makes a nice difference if you leave the house regularly

That makes it much harder to win the EC, no?

Depends on what state you move from. California could give up a couple of million democrats to "take one for the team" and move to the thinly populated red states. I say that in jest, but it just shows how absurd the electoral college is, that the same people, voting the same way could change the outcome just by living in another state.

Frankly had the Democrats nominated a man to face Dumpster in 2016 I doubt he would have been elected in the first place.

Sad commentary. :(

The biggest issue for the Dems (and ALL Americans) is that we need to stop being adversarial about everything and start LISTENING to the other side.

Truth is that COMPROMISE makes us stronger not weaker and the powers who want us to forget that ARE the "bad guys".

Unfortunately, I think you are right.
This country is not ready for a female leader.
I am in fact a little surprised that Biden won considering that we had a female in the ticket, but fortunately we pulled it.

I was just talking about your own sanity.

I mean wherever we go we are just a click or a swipe away from seeing and reading about these politically primitive people and their utter ignorance, but at least when you walk out the door and do stuff in the three dimensional world you know that the ratio if those kind of folks is much better. Like me going to NYC on Saturday and being surrounded by cheering and clapping and honking. It does wonders for the soul to be in such an atmosphere. That translates to when you socialize in general in your area as well. It adds up.

Yeah, I was very glad to be in KC, MO on Saturday. Surrounded by Biden signs and happy people.

Maybe because the expectations were set unrealistically and unfairly high? Kinda hard to have a legitimate democracy when one side always has to get a supermajority just to win.

It just hit me why expectations were so high. There was a blue wave in 2018 and people thought it would continue.

IMHO I suspect that the roughly missing 31% of people of eligible age to vote were too busy watching soap operas snacking on EBT card groceries to be bothered to get off their lazy a$$es to go vote.
