I once got banned because a mod thought I was trolling when I said I shop at the $0.99 Store. But clearly if you've read my posts, I'm only 1-2 steps above dumpster diving for my food.

That's because they are called dollar stores.

Maybe you can afford to shop at the dollar store, but some of us have to shop here:

Too many variables in evenly heating and failing to even reach the set temperature to ensure all areas are heated to a safe temperature before other areas, or the container itself, is burnt.

A large, high quality toaster oven can heat anything an oven can. A cheap little one is great for burning food.

Pot pies, heat them in the microwave for 3/4ths of the time on the box, preheating the toaster oven a couple minutes while they finish in the microwave, then toaster oven them until the crust is crispy golden browned, on the bottom rack.

Geez, I don't know how you guys keep dragging me into these arguments. But since there is interest in what I'm eating, I bought two of these:

I actually complained to the parent company and they sent me two coupons: one for a free pot pie and another for $1 off. Since there will be more pies in my future, I wanted to know how not to ruin them.

You should try one of these. So good. I haven't had one in at least six years, though.

I used to eat those, Swanson IIRC. Kind of nasty, IMO. I'm sure they make better ones.

I'm not a pot pie connoisseur or anything, but I always remember the chicken pot pies had at least one chewy/cartilage piece of chicken in there. Never had that problem with the turkey pot pies (but I only ate Marie Callender's).

That is 21 year old bachelor food. Whenever a meal is advertised by the pound you know it's not meant for consumption by adults.

Don't you have a wife/girlfriend/boyfriend who can cook for you?
