I stopped counting how many times I've seen the following misused and misspelled:

it's, its, their, they are, there, you're, your, compatibility, definitely, grammar, and MANY others. Why can't you spell, people, WHY?! :)

Don't give me that "I am on a PC with a spell-checker, so I don't care" B.S. ;)
I have seen countless official documents and Web sites where one could choke on errors. And it's not like I'm an English teacher! I'm a 25-year old computer geek!


I care because poor spelling hurts my ears and makes me think that people just don't care about how others see them.
I care so much that I am willing to help you poor bastards :p :eek: :D

As-u-type - a great program for on-the-fly spell-checking in ANY Windows program.
IE spell - a nice program that performs spell-checking in Internet Explorer.
MapQuest.com - please locate a nearby bookstore and read "Spelling 101" :)

its partly because i type as i think and so errors happen

but mostly cos i am a mathie and ive always sucked at spelling.

i can spell, i just don't always do so properly(usually i do though). especially when typing on a message board.

I remember once in high school, I got a bad grade on a "rough draft" copy of a paper because i didn't correct my mistakes. know why i didnt correct any of them? there WERENT ANY. i politely asked the teacher if next time i should purposely make mistakes to correct... didn't get much of a response. :)
