When my boss went to the Nurburgring to take a few laps (CDN$15 per lap...what a bargain!), he saw a sh*tload of amazing European vehicles there. Mercs, BMWs, Lotus', Ford Cosworths, etc, etc, etc. Man, Europe even gets a Civic Type R which looks totally different than any Civic we get over here. I too wish that American car manufacturers started designing with a more European mindset.
peugeot is one of the worst marques in terms of quality. them and renault. and fiat. all suck. every one of any of those company's cars that i've ever been in has been an utter POS. most of them couldn't pass crash tests in the US so they left the market in the 80s.
I WANT A MINI!!! im sick of all these huge ass american SUV's clogging up the road and gas prices...
if the US really wants to lower gas prices.. i'd say make a law that only cars that have outstanding gas mileage can be sold here..
driving small cars is much easyer than big tank like SUV's.. at least that's my opinion
oh yeah and how many SUV's do you see on the road with more than 1 person driving? everywhere i go i see suburbans with no more than 2 people in htem even though they can carrie like 7+ people
Peugots are pretty popular in West Africa. We had a Peugot 504 in Nigeria. It was reliable and durable. It went over a lot of rough road and ran in the extreme heat without any problems. Granted it was a simple car and was slow.
I have always liked the designs of Peugots, very eye-pleasing.

Quality of especially the French marques was not very good untill the mid 1980's. That's true. But in the meantime many things have changed. My brothers has bought a new Peugeot 206 a year ago. It's a very fine car.
